Security and Privacy

Merchant security is very important to us. That’s why we’ve taken extra precautions to make sure your network is secure.

All Zenreach access points ship with the following settings:

Zenreach access points utilize custom firewall rules for your guest network that only allow traffic out to the internet and block any traffic into your internal networks. This will prevent users from seeing any of your upstream devices, such a printers, POS, etc.

We enforce client isolation, which prevents client devices on the same network from sharing information.

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is used to encrypt any information your customers provide on the captive portal. This means that any email addresses or data collected on the portal from a customer are secure and protected.

There is a setting in place on all access points called NAT Mode. This means that when a guest authenticates via the branded hotspot they will receive an IP address from an isolated range via Meraki or OpenMesh’s Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) internal server. This means no guest devices will have any visibility into your local area network (LAN)
